What is WOX? 

WOX is a rental service for environmentally friendly moving boxes and accessories. 

Is WOX a moving company? 

While WOX is not a moving company, we do work with them. However, we strive to make moving services more customer-friendly, convenient, cost-effective and environmental. Similar to what the rideshare platform Taxify (now called Bolt) did to the taxi market. 

There are several ways to pack up and move into your new home or office with ease and comfort. The sharing economy is here to stay and make people's lives more comfortable. For example, a CityBee van, WOX moving boxes and a few friends is definitely not a worse option than hiring a moving company. 

WOX complements and enriches the moving services market. 

What are the advantages and benefits of WOX moving boxes? 

PRICE. Renting WOX moving boxes is up to 50% cheaper than buying the traditional cardboard boxes. If using cardboard boxes there are additional costs for tape to seal the boxes and for subsequent rubbish collection / disposal. 

QUALITY. WOX moving boxes are extremely durable. Safely stackable and weatherproof. Your possessions are securely protected during the move. 

TIME. WOX moving boxes can be easily and conveniently folded and unfolded. It only takes seconds. 

HYGIENE. Our moving boxes are clean and odourless. 

How "green" or environmentally friendly are WOX moving boxes? 

WOX moving boxes are made of recycled plastic and can be completely recycled afterwards. It has been proven by research that moving with reusable boxes results in significantly less CO2 emissions compared to using cardboard boxes. 

WOX moving boxes have a long service life – at least 200 uses. 

What are the measurements of the boxes? 

Our classic moving box WOXBOX is comparable in size and volume to standard corrugated cardboard moving boxes. Measurements: 600x400x340mm (LxWxH) with capacity of 68 litres. When folded, the height of the box is only 80mm. 

WOX moving boxes can withstand heavy loads well, at least 40kg. In practice, the limit is how much you can carry at once. 

Another option is MINIWOX, which is suitable for moving books and other heavier items. Measurements: 400x300x240mm with capacity of 23 litres. When folded, the height of the box is 70mm. Two MINIWOX boxes stack perfectly on top of a large WOXBOX moving box and can be easily and conveniently moved using the WOXROLLER. 

How many folded WOXBOXES can fit in a car? 

When folded, the boxes take up very little space – the height is only 80mm. A small car can hold up to 20 boxes, a medium-sized car can fit 20-30 boxes and a larger SUV / wagon type car at least 40 boxes. 

Can WOX moving boxes be locked, if needed? 

For transportation of important documents and valuables we recommend locking the moving boxes with seals. Lock seals can be purchased separately from us. 

How can I order moving boxes and accessories and pay for their rental? 

This can be done conveniently, quickly and safely by pressing the “ORDER” button. We offer several home and office moving packages that are based on the number of rooms or people. Extra moving boxes as well as other accessories can be added to the package as needed.

Payment can be made in the Pakendikeskus e-shop:

-       directly via links to internet banking (Swedbank, SEB, Nordea and LHV) as well as by Mastercard and Visa credit cards.

-       payment by invoice is possible either by a prepayment within 3 days or for contractual customers as per invoice, in accordance with agreed payment terms. 

How do I receive a confirmation for my order? 

You will receive a confirmation by email once the order has been placed and / or payment has been received. Please review the confirmation email carefully and contact us at rent@pakendikeskus.ee .

What is the minimum rental period for moving boxes and accessories? 

The minimum period to use WOX moving boxes and accessories is 1 week. All prices on the WOX website assume rental period of 1 week. 

Can I extend the rental period? 

Yes, you can! If you need additional time, email us at rent@pakendikeskus.ee .

We will extend the rental period and issue an additional invoice. 

How are moving boxes and accessories delivered and returned? 

When ordering, you will be prompted to confirm your preferences for delivery and return. You have the option to come to the Pakendikeskus store to pick up and later return the boxes. Alternately you can request delivery and return by a courier. PS. Due to dimensions of the boxes we are unable to send to parcel machines. 

What is the cost for delivery and return of boxes by a courier? 

For orders within Estonia the courier transport fee is 6,90 euros. Returning the boxes by courier also costs 6,90 euros. 

If I decide to pick up the boxes myself and return them at the agreed time - is that free, i.e. there will be no transport cost? 

Yes, this way you can save money. In this case transport costs will not apply, and you are only charged for the rental of boxes. Pick-up and return of WOX moving boxes and accessories are available at Pakendikeskus stores all over Estonia. Our stores are located in Tallinn (Sikupilli and Mustamäe) in Pärnu, Tartu and Jõhvi. 

What happens if I move to another city, e.g. from Tallinn to Pärnu? 

Moving from one city to another is not a problem. In this case, you can pick up the moving boxes from the store in Tallinn and return them in Pärnu. 

Do I have to be at home or in the office for delivery and collection of the boxes?

The courier company tries to plan its routes as accurately as possible to avoid any additional charges if no one is there. When placing the order, please ensure you provide an accurate phone number so that we can contact you on the day of delivery / return of the boxes. 

Can I change the time for delivery and return of moving boxes? 

Should this situation occur, please notify us as soon as possible by phone or email at rent@pakendikeskus.ee. We try to be as flexible and responsive as possible and, if possible, agree on a new time. 

Can moving boxes also be ordered by companies, for moving offices and possessions of employees? 

We offer services both for individuals and companies. Our office packages are suitable for moving companies with up to 40 employees. All packages include free WOXROLLERS (special box trolley with wheels). 

How do I calculate the required number of moving boxes, i.e. are there any rules of thumb? 

We recommend considering both the number of people and the size of the home. As well as how long you have lived there and whether the household also includes additional areas, such as storage rooms, basement or garage. The longer you have lived in one place, the more likely you have accumulated more things. If that is the case, you will need more boxes. 

Our packages provide some indication and idea of how many WOX moving boxes are needed to move an average household. However, every home is different. 

Rule of thumb 1: based on the number of family members. 

We recommend a simple rule for determining the number of moving boxes: 

Home with one person – about 30 moving boxes are needed (assuming 1-2 room apartment). 

If there are more people in the household, 20-25 boxes per person should be considered. 

Rule of thumb 2: based on the size of the home. 

This is a little less precise than the first rule. 

We recommend 1 moving box per square meter, including all areas in the home such as storage rooms, attic, basement, etc.
